I started this because I couldn't find a plain black cap that fit properly. Every one I picked up was either too shallow, covered in someone else's logo, or made to be thrown away after a summer.

So I made sixty. I paid for them with money I should have kept, packed them in my mum's front room in Croydon, and sold them off a table on Rye Lane on a Saturday in March. They went in four hours. People asked when the next lot was coming and I told them the truth: I didn't know if there would be one.

That's still how it works. I make a run, it sells, and then it's finished. Nobody gets a second chance at the same piece, and that's not a marketing angle, it's just what happens when you make things in numbers you can afford and stand behind.

Everything is sampled on my own head before it exists for anyone else. If the crown sits wrong or the brim goes soft after two weeks, it doesn't get made. That's the whole quality process. It's not complicated, it's just applied every time.
